There are many wonderful small businesses in Melbourne but every now and then we come across one we absolutely have to share. Introducing Laprana!


Laprana is a person centered, mind-body-wellness studio that aims to improve the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the individual by integrating basic principles from both psychology and yoga philosophy. The Laprana approach to wellness is a holistic, mixed methods approach combining Specialised Yoga Asana, Pranayama Breathing Techniques and Mindfulness and Meditation.

Renée Sloan BPsych(Hons) & Registered Yoga Teacher

Laprana was founded by Renée Sloan. Renée takes a philosophical, person-centred approach as she works together with clients to uncover the underlying issues at hand. By identifying the root cause of an issue, she believes we can more readily achieve transformative, lasting well-being. Based on the premise that every individual is complex and unique; treatment is tailored and personalised to suit the particular physical, mental, emotional and social needs of each individual.


After completing her Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) at Queensland University of Technology, Renée traveled to India where she completed her yoga teacher training course. Since then, she has lived in Brisbane, Byron Bay and Melbourne, working both nationally and internationally to integrate her passions in yoga and psychology. By layering and melding ancient Eastern Yoga philosophy with more contemporary Western models of psychology, she believes deeply transformative, whole-self healing is possible.


On Tuesday, our practitioners Uschi, Michaela and Tess were lucky enough to meet Renée and experience a Laprana small group yoga practice first hand, here at our clinic. They loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laprana to any of their clients seeking a holistic approach to wellness.
